Berberis Thunbergii
(Atropurpurea)
Very effective as a thorny boundary hedge, the Berberis has attractive purple red leaves with yellow blossom in the spring followed by red berries in the autumn.
Young leaves can often be green in colour and will turn bright purple as they mature.
A tough, easy to grow hedge that is maintained easily and grows up to 30cm a year. Adult plants will reach approximately 1.2-1.5 metres (4ft).
Supplied as 75cm (approx) plants. Plant about
40-45cm apart.
