HEDGING PLANTS

Cranberries have long been known to aid good health. They are packed with vitamin C and antioxidant properties.

They are a creeping variety of plant, reaching heights of about 15-20cm. A small leaved plant - their berries are bigger than the leaves.

Dark pink flowers that are attractive to honey bees, the fruit has a distinctive sharp flavour. The are often classed as a superfruit due to its nutrient content and health value.

They prefer peat with low ph levels for optimum conditions. Normally ready in mid to late September onwards.

Can be grown in pots with a suitable ericaceous compost.
