(Buxus Sempervirens)
The English Box hedge is a formal hedging plant that is actually a small tree! It can tolerate many soil conditions. Suitable for shady or semi-shade areas, although it is advisable to plant in moist soil when under full sunlight. Do not allow young plants to dry out!
Plant approximately 20-30cm apart. Easy to maintain and can be clipped into formal topiary shapes. Box can also be successfully grown in containers. Good as manicured hedging around beds & borders.
Cutting back young hedge plants and topiary by up to one-third about May/June will encourage bushy growth.
Supplied as 30-40cm (approx) bare root plants.
