Privet Hedging
(Ligustrum)
Formal evergreen plant, compact and dense, the Privet hedge grows quickly and can tolerate both full sun and shade.
Privets can also tolerate windy locations, chalk and coastal areas. The Golden Privet (Aureum) can create a more compact hedge than the Green (Ovafolium) variety, but will not grow as quickly.
Although this plant is an evergreen it can sometimes suffer from leaf loss in harsh winters.
Green Privet is supplied as 80cm (approx) bare root hedging, whilst the Golden Privet is supplied as 50cm (approx) bare root plants. Plant about 30-35cm apart.
