This variety of Hawthorn produces double crimson flowers. Its a very attractive ornamental tree and has been awarded an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Suitable for exposed locations, Red May as its also known, is very hardy and will also do well in wet areas and coastal positions.
Branches will be covered in clusters of bright red double flowers in May which are followed by bright red fruits in autumn.
Supplied as a 70cm (approx) pot grown or root-balled plant.
